Sample cover letter for Internship position at MSG

It is with great honor that I submit my application along with my resume for the Summer 2015 Student Associate. As your company is very reputable and largely renowned, I feel fortunate having the chance of applying for this position.

Since a resume cannot explicitly state one’s work ethic, I would like to say that I feel as if I am one with strong work ethic as well as an energetic person. Although the experiences in my resume do not have a large correlation to the field that I am applying for, I do feel as though the experiences I gained from that internship, such as enhancing my analytic skills and getting familiar with using excel, will benefit me in the long run, and hopefully, if the opportunity presents itself, in your company. I am a New Yorker as well and a fan of New York sports, therefore working for the company that owns “Mecca” of all arenas, would be an exhilarating experience. There would be no better way to spend the summer then spending it at your company!
