I feel that some of the skills I have acquired can be of great use to the investment banking division at Man. For instance, during my time as a summer week intern at Bank of America Merrill Lynch I participated in a takeover case study and was part of a team of 5 interns that used comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and DCF to come up with a company valuation. Conveying ideas clearly was important when communicating with the rest of the team and I feel that communicating effectively with other team members will be vital when working in the investment banking division at Macquarie. Furthermore, preparing for and attending IBD technical training at Barclays investment bank, has further developed my ability to research, analyse and then discuss numerous case studies independently and as part of a team.

My background in Chemical Engineering has honed my ability to quickly come up with logical solutions to complex problems. I also feel as though the strong numerical and analytical skills that I have gained during my degree will be of excellent use when working in the investment banking division.
