Upon attending the Startup Career Expo 2015 and having the pleasure of acquaintance with your colleagues at MaRs, I was adamant to envision myself in a company that is fueled solely by innovation. I learned that as the clean technology industry in Canada grows at around 11% every year, it is amongst the highest in the world. This growth has poised MaRs to pave the way amongst the world’s premier patron of clean technology breakthrough.

As an aspiring entrepreneur experienced with working in diversely challenging environments, I possess the right attitude and firm acquaintance with the responsibilities required to succeed as a coordinator in your organization. The experiences I have gathered as a student empowered me to challenge my potential and capability to thrive in highly competitive fast paced, team-oriented work environments. My experiences as a coordinator and consultant for Grameen Telecom Trust and the Doubletree by Hilton hotel project has furnished me with the essential skills that you may seek.

I take pride for my excellent intrapersonal, communication and management skills that I assimilated during my undergraduate career. As a coordinator for Grameen, I was responsible for creating and managing PR engagement content that was published and distributed to all the Grameen affiliated organizations around the world. I was also responsible for coordinating a team responsible for showcasing the progress of the “New Entrepreneur Venture Funding Program” for the annual Social Business Day 2014, the largest social business conference in the world. As a requirement, some of the most pressing difficulties were faced while having to maintain lateral communication over 10 Grameen subsidiary companies who always had their own best interest at heart. As a result of the short yet impactful tenure with Grameen, my efforts were highly regarded by the founder of social enterprise and microfinance, Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus.

Working as a junior feasibility consultant for the proposed DoubleTree by Hilton hotel project in  was also another truly rewarding international experience that required maintaining regular correspondence with HVS hospitality consulting and the Hilton hotel group. Examining market data, conducting field research and creating summary reports through data analysis were some of the key responsibilities I was given during my tenure. The opportunity involved travelling to the regional offices of the associated partners to establish a relation through introducing the intent to establish a 5 star hospitality project in a new market. Amongst the marketable skills I developed include the ability be a strong envoy between multiple international stakeholders and create progress reports that were used extensively for strategy and planning of the project.

In addition to my apt experiences, the possibility to associate myself with technology that significantly improves the lives of the ones around me is what drives my urge to present my credentials for this position.
