I am writing to apply for the summer internship offered by MassMutual Asia in 2015.
Being one of the world largest life insurance company, MassMutual Asia has high reputation across its costumer. I believe it be a great place for students to grow and gain practical experience. Considering the actuarial industry as my future career and having limited experience, I hope to be a member of MassMutual.
The experiences and strong academic backgrounds make me a suitable candidate for the internship. Firstly, working as an actuarial intern in Prudential Corporation Asia in 2014 winter, I have developed my teamwork skills, data analysis skills and communication skills through participating team projects. Secondly, good academic results in both public examinations and the university prove that I can learn new things efficiently and thoroughly. Getting A range in most of the statistic and mathematics courses reflects my strong analytical skill. Thirdly, studying in courses offered by the university and other institutions, I have acquired skills in using C++, Access and VBA. Fourthly, being a floor representative in the residential college and attending the Outward Bound course, I persist in solving problems and completing challenging tasks encountered. Communicating with people from various backgrounds in the course proves my proficiency in Chinese, English and Mandarin.
