I am writing to secure a summer internship position as Manufacturing Engineering Associate Intern at during May-July 2015. To introduce myself, I am  a Junior Undergraduate Student of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I came across the job posting and am extremely interested for an Intern.

I hold Department rank 1 in the course of Chemical Engineering (Dual Degree). Mathematics has always been an interesting subject for me and thus I have also applied for a Minor in the Department of Maths at my institute. I am also a student leader in the campus and work towards the welfare of the institute and the students. Being a research enthusiast, I have been involved in the research works of the Laboratory of my institute since my second year. 

I am very much keen to learn more about research developments in this area and the applications of Fluid Mechanics in the real world. Working in this field under your able guidance will make me better equipped to fulfil my goal of higher studies. I hereby enclose my resume for your kind perusal.
