I am currently a Medical Doctor working in the NHS. I was recently introduced to your firm via a distant contact and was impressed with what I learned of your culture and the firm’s excellent reputation and focus on client value. I am interested in applying for Management Consulting position at your firm, and have enclosed my resume and background information below.

My path to Management Consulting has been unorthodox. I gained my first experience in finance and management when I was appointed Treasurer for SGUL Surgical Society at university. This experience not only taught me how to deal with deadlines and organisations sponsoring the society, but also pushed me to deliver a high level of quality in everything I do. My involvement in research during my undergraduate years honed in my analytic, presentation, problem-solving skills; I developed a project assessing the long-term outcomes of implementing an alternative lung cancer pathway, which lead to improved patient care and international recognition.

Working as a Doctor, I am accustomed to prioritising my clinical and academic load whilst working in a high pressured, highly stressful environment. I come from a culture where working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is essential in providing excellent care. My roles as a clinician, researcher and mentor require me to be a good leader, a team player and to be extremely organised. These valuable experiences, paired with a passion for business and finance and an insurmountable desire to learn and grow will make me a perfect fit for a position in Management Consulting in such a respectable firm.

Besides my academic career, I am convinced that my involvement in Martial Arts and other sports has created awareness for strong team values and a natural appetite for victory. I do not shy away from taking risks and making vast decisions as I have risked everything by changing my career path and embarking on a profession in Management Consulting.
