Dear Hiring Manager

I am looking for internship as a consultant at McKinsey. I am graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University and will be graduating in December 2016. I believe I will be good fit at McKinsey given my experience with varied industry which involves petrochemical and metallurgy coupled with research experience and familiarity with Machine Learning and Data analytics.

Here at CMU I am working on a project which involve designing the ABC process. It involves analyzing the image data by Machine Vision and making the relation between the features obtained and process parameters using Machine Learning. The project along with my class has given me problem solving skills in Data Analytics and Machine Learning, which I can utilize at McKinsey for my role as Consultant.

My experience in working at Petrochemical Industry for a year and intern at metallurgical plant has given me insight about these industry which I could utilize at McKinsey for consulting in these areas. I have held various position of responsibility at college such as organizing various national level student events, which has given me leadership skills which will come handy for a consulting job. I also have expertise in working with various programming languages like C, Python , Matlab.

I am confident, given my experience with data analytics, industry experience and leadership skills I will be able to contribute significantly at BCG.
