Dear Recruiter,

Nobody does a better job of staying ahead of current trends of Employee Health and Benefits than Mercer Consulting. Staying ahead by recognizing that millennial employees want to take responsibility for their work and don’t want the same benefit plans that their parents had. With 4 different generations in the work force, employers find themselves at a crossroads of being able to attract the right talent while being able to navigate smoothly through business risks and management costs.

While working at Agricorp, which acts as a delivery arm of crop insurance forthe Canadian government, I was able to gain valuable experience in analyzing and pricing ever-changing commodity based insurance plans. It is notable to mention that I was responsible for providing the solution that realized the impact of changing a benefit payout methodology and renewal process. This speaks to the Analyst’s duty of estimating future plans costs and prices.

The documentation of the analysis helped polish my skills in written communication. Today, clients and managers don’t want to read through the details and the thought process of the solution in a fifty‐page report instead they prefer a two-page summary of the findings and a recommended course of action. This is the approach I adhere to in presenting my analysis to the Senior Management Team of Agricorp that agreed to implement my recommendation.

My role at Agricorp demandeda charismatic team player that is easy to get along with and be involved in collaborative efforts of problem solving. I learned that enjoying the atmosphere of your workstation is not only important, but a critical contributor to a team’s success. Every member of the team needs a ense of belonging and awareness.

Mercer has a clear insight that in 2020, 40% of managing roles will be held by Millennial persons and that they value growing opportunities more than any generation before them. This is a clear indication that employers need to provide benefits that help them to continue to grow as opposed to settling for the available options.

I align closely with Mercer’s values of accountability, enthusiasm and strong communication that are essential in all talented employees.
