I first developed an interest in pursuing a career at Merrill Lynch when a friend’s mother, *********, mentioned she worked in recruitment for your company in New York. She described the qualities she looks for when interviewing and evaluating candidates, the atmosphere in the company, what it takes to work in the industry overall and she recommended I apply as she believed I would be a great fit.

In the internship posting it described several preferred qualifications and I am confident that I posses all of the skills necessary for this position. My strong leadership skills and desire to take initiative are what got me to the current administrative positions I hold today. As the VP of Communications & Relations of the Finance Association, my responsibilities are to send weekly emails with information on upcoming speakers, events, and meetings, to plan meetings with the Board, to lead stock pitches, and to make important announcements at the end of every meeting. My involvement within these two organizations on campus, demonstrate my drive, organization, and strong communication skills. Furthermore, last semester I completed a management science course that taught Microsoft Excel in depth in regards to business analytics. I have a passion for finance and would love to be a part of the team at Merrill Lynch.
