While gaining my Certificate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Purdue, I studied financial accounting, business valuation, and investing. I was also able to work hands-on with an exciting biotech startup, developing recommendations for a facility acquisition and business expansion plan. This involvement has spurred my current pursuit of a career in finance, specifically investing in small and growing companies. My past internship experience as an industrial engineer has provided me with the expertise to analyze complex production systems using detailed data gathering techniques and Excel modeling. In my current role as a field sales engineer, I have developed excellent strategic and communication skills as I work directly with clients to design and sell material handling systems and improve operational efficiency.

Acting upon my great interest in finance and investments, I will be attending the Vanderbilt University Masters of Science in Finance program this upcoming fall. This rigorous one year program is one of the foremost in the country, and will provide me with the opportunity to sharpen my skills in financial modeling, investment research, accounting, and corporate valuation.
