My name is Yu Yang and I am currently a Mathematics PhD candidate at Washington University in St.Louis and I am in my fourth year. I was recently introduced to your firm via Career Center of our university and was impressed with your creative and entrepreneurial culture and strong support to employees, especially by your global traineeship and the other learning opportunities. I am interested in pursuing a Pricing Quant position at your firm, and have enclosed my resume and background information below.

I am enthusiastic about being a Quant after graduation because I think it is an elegant job which can also pay a good amount of money. My mathematical background provides me with strong quantitative and problem solving abilities. I have also been taking finance courses to enhance my financial background. Also, I have been using programming language like matlab and R in the quant courses I took in Washington University. This winter I have a great probability to earn an intern as Pricing Quant in RGA, which will make me more prepared.
