I am currently a final-year student at Mining School, studying for the national an engineer's diploma specializing in applied mathematics and finance and I am actively searching for a six-month internship from February 2015.

I am writing to express my enthusiasm in applying for an internship position in Strats & Modeling in your company.

Solving quantitative problems and designing models and risk measures are tasks that attract me about this role.

My academic education enabled me to acquire strong mathematical and financial background. It has also given me good programming tools which I really look forward to applying to fiancial markets and therefore take part in the firm's projects. I am also quick, flexible, which are qualities needed to be an efficient trainee in a professional setting. Over the last summer I have interned as a Sales Assistant in a FX Derivatives Desk. I have faced risk management problems and learned that understanding the business and the market is as important as knowing the theory.
