Sample cover letter for Internship position at Morgan Stanley

POSITION:

Analyst

My name is XX and I am an undergraduate finance student at ESCP EUROPE Business School in Paris (Master 1). I am very excited about applying for a position in your firm.

Throughout my college career I have shown a growing interest for finance and achieved brilliant academic performance. I have completed a first internship as Strategy and Markets analyst in the Airlines sector. Through this experience, I have performed quantitative analysis to assess financial feasability of several projects such as the firm expansion in India .

I also had the opportunity to work on high-impact projects such as AIR France KLM Lab’ Line for the Future in which I contributed to assess a provisional investment of € 60 000. I firmly believe that banking has a visible impact on industries and this is the reason why my careers plans are finance-oriented.

I am a particularly good fit for the position since I have taken intense courses of Strategy and Finance. I have recently directed a research on operational risks and internal control in the banking system and have started accumulating a large financial knowledge. I also have learned VBA during my previous internship and look forward to learn Bloomberg, Factset and DataStream. As I said previously, I’m highly ambitious and will do everything it takes to fit even more the position you are offering.

A copy of my resume is enclosed for your reference. I would welcome an opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
