Sample cover letter for Internship position at Morgan Stanley

POSITION:

Finance intern

I am writing to apply for the position of Finance Intern at Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley has always inspired me for being socially responsible for the oppressed nations across the globe.

Being an active participant in a number of conferences held by the University and being an executive committee member of the undergrad student club, I have been the spokesperson for the students’ council representing their views and opinions to the administrative authorities, which helped me to develop strong interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills.

As mentioned on my resume, I have done several research projects independently as well as in groups, carrying out comprehensive primary and secondary research using both quantitative and qualitative techniques. I have excelled in most finance courses during my bachelors, which has provided me with deep knowledge of the methods for successfully analyzing and documenting financial facts and figures. I am highly skilled in doing comparative and cash flow analysis as well as portfolio and asset management and valuation.

In reference to my previous internship at ‘Japan Society’, I am very efficient and competent in assisting finance department with internal auditing and effectively performing various administrative duties. Moreover, I have received intense training in preparing, organizing, maintaining and updating journals, files, reports and databases as well as preparation of reconciliation of monthly bank statements. In addition, I have also been involved in an extensive equity analysis project with the firm. Thank you for your time. I have enclosed my resume for your perusal and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
