Sample cover letter for Internship position at Morgan Stanley

POSITION:

Credit Risk Analyst

To the Hiring Manger,

I am writing to express my strong interest in working in your company as a Summer Credit Risk Analyst, an opening I learned about through Simplicity at the Fordham. I would be thrilled to have an opportunity to participate in a firm aimed at maximizing returns by generating profit through lending, trading and capital markets. I believe that an internship at Morgan Stanley would be a perfect chance for me to advance my knowledge on finance and capital markets.

I am well equipped and familiar with finance and capital markets procedures. Previously, I worked at Team Clean as a finance intern where I analyzed data for accounting and finance purposes. I was recognized for my work and ability to review and analyze data as well as my excellent written communication skills. While doing my bachelor’s degree I completed a Money and Capital Markets course where I acquired both practical and a concept-oriented theory on the operations of today’s financial institutions. I believe I can be an asset to your firm and work to the growth and integrity of it.

As a candidate with a finance background, I feel that working under the Credit Risk Management Team would provide me with an opportunity that relates directly to my studies and interests. I am excited and looking forward to participating in the 10 week Summer Analyst Program and to make a positive contribution in the program.

Sincerely,
