Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently in my first year at the University of Bath Studying Economics and wish to apply for the Spring Insight Programme 2015.

Morgan Stanley is a global leader in advisory and capital-raising services, having recently won the IFR Bank of the Year and Global Equity House of the Year awards in 2014. Morgan Stanley is an evolving firm with its E-Markets division working on providing clients with electronic solutions in fixed income as markets develop. The inclusive corporate culture and values at Morgan Stanley are aligned with my own; making Morgan Stanley a firm I’d be proud to work for.

Completing work experience at Barclays, where I shadowed a professional in sales and trading and learnt about the project work of investment banking, further enriched my interest to pursue a career in finance. Through participating in the Target 2.0 competition run by the Bank of England, I learnt the important influence of analysing risk when giving advice, which particularly sparked my interest in how the global financial industry operates in an increasingly risk averse market and is why this particular programme appeals to me.
