This cover letter is to compliment my application towards the Financial Analyst trainee position at Mubadala, which an existing employee made me aware of. My profile shapes a degree in finance with a cumulative GPA of 3.69 from the American University [graduated in the top 5% of my class]. With three different work experiences/internships, I have realizable experience in sales, research and data analysis. Hence, after reading through the position responsibilities, the benefits end users gain from software engineers, to the sales team and finally, mediated by consultants, I strongly believe that this job fits my skill set and would tremendously support my career ambitions.

During my experience at deVere Acuma, I worked on ensuring that clients maintained a balanced portfolio, which required constant fund and market research and consequent report writing in regards to potential risk and key issues. This highly developed my analytical as well as organization skills in terms of timely delivery of required tasks and prioritizing massive amounts of information as needed. Having worked in a client-facing role, I developed superior communication skills as well as presentation ability to key stakeholders and management. In short, I know how to sell the product, now I want to learn how to implement it and make it work efficiently.

When the oil hit the $50 mark, I immediately searched for vacancies at Mubadala Development Company. Today we stand at $30 per barrel, which brings the mandate of Mubadala a solid reality and benefit to the economy. Its mission to focus on managing long term capital-intensive investments to deliver strong financial returns to the Emirates is a firm that has a real and tangible value in the economy, both on an Emirate and regional level. Moreover, Mubadala works both internally and externally with beyond competent people, which will give me the ability to work alongside brilliant minds. Couple that with the culture of apprenticeships all of which will be an excellent place to start a career in finance. I strongly believe that this will give me the ability to make use of the skills I have acquired during my university degree and work experiences as well as provide me a stimulating and enriching environment all of which I estimate would be necessary for my intellectual blossoming.
