Sample cover letter for Internship position at NBC

Dear Program Recruiter:

My interest in the computer world sprouted halfway through my first year of college, and has grown rapidly ever since. I would still consider myself relatively new to the field and therefore am open to any internship in one of the technology-related fields offered by NBCUniversal. I would love to work behind the scenes of one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies to learn more about programming or any technical operations.

Since my first computer science class, I have been eager to apply all the skills I have learned and finally see how they apply to real-life situations. I am responsible, organized, and driven, especially when given a project to work on and solve. I hope that I can have the opportunity to intern at NBCUniversal to help satisfy my increasing interest in technology and programming, that has yet to be fulfilled by a previous internship in the field.
