Dear Hiring Manager,

My name is Andrea Arellano and I am writing to express my interest in the UCI Summer 2016 Internship. I understand that, as one of the leading media company serving Hispanic America, Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) reaches a regular global viewership of millions.

I consider broadcast journalism to be one of the most important tools for creating positive change in the world and establishing an informed global citizenry. I believe that Univision Network has a leading role in this process and it champions the importance of diversity.

I will complete my BA in Broadcast Media from Florida International University in 2017, and will pursue a career in television news production. As you can see from my resume, I am currently working as a Secretary assistant at FXM Research Company. This has given me a great deal of work experience in an office environment but I would like to start working in the field I want to pursue.
