I would like to apply for the business analyst role at NERA

In 2009 I started as a fundraiser at Pepperminds and in 2010 I was promoted to part-time coordinator because I exceeded my personal targets. As a coordinator I was responsible for the success of my team and, by cooperation and management, we exceeded our sponsoring targets for twenty consecutive months. During a project at Bain in 2014 I researched how industry trends impacted RB’s private equity partners. The project improved my research skills, developed my ability to present and summarise complex materials, and made me realise that client relationships are essential in consultancy.

By discussing NERA’s work with XXXX, I realised that I would love to work at NERA for three reasons. Firstly, NERA hosts a stimulating environment for ambitious economists that aim to engage critically and intellectually with the economic reality of numerous exciting contemporary regulatory challenges. Secondly, NERA’s research is rigorous and precise because its results can have a huge impact on government and business. This responsibility translates into a ‘code of honour’ that I find very inspiring and motivating since I aim to expose society’s true economic mechanisms. Finally, I would enjoy applying microeconomic principles to regulatory challenges in industries such as healthcare and life sciences, energy and environment, water, EU competition, finance and securities, and transfer pricing.
