I was always a willing person determined to make better the things that I could. Since I was a child, I lived a period of many changes in Brazil, especially in an economic way. The country is experiencing a good economic moment and because of that, people are living better. They have more opportunities to study, to work, and then, to have a great life. Those results motivate me to be a part of it, so I started to think how could I contribute to my country and, consequently to the people that live here.

I decided to be a chemical engineer due to the range of areas in which I could act and I've always been passionate about technology and chemical. During my undergraduate studies I had the opportunity to know some expertise fields of a chemical engineer and the one that most interested me was the oil area, due to its economic importance and its potential for development in Brazil.

I'm having the opportunity to get a Master´s degree in one highly developed economy and advanced technological country, the U.S., reason why the country is renowned for having the best specialization courses in the world in oil fields.

Studying in UNICAMP I could have contact with qualified professionals and researchers in the one of the best laboratories in the country. Thus, I certainly will get an excellent academic background that will highlight me professionally and will allow me to combine the knowledge obtained with the Brazilian scenario, contributing towards the area development in my country.

I choose the specialization in Petroleum Engineering due the challenges of the oil exploration and production in adverse conditions, which require both qualified human resources and advanced research. I am sure this Master´s degree will allow me to contribute to the related activities, ranging from drilling to petroleum primary processing.
