Dear Pew Charitable Trusts,
I discovered your organization in one of my courses and was immediately impressed. The course focused on influencing policy change specifically through non-governmental and non-profit organizations. Your approach to producing scientific research to improve conservation policy is the reason I am applying for the desired position.
My multi-faceted work experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sector combined with my major in environmental science and policy make me a viable candidate for the Associate position within the Pew Fellows Program in Marine Conservation. Furthermore, I am confident that my career experiences in addition to my leadership, communication, and organization skills make me a strong candidate for the desired position.
I describe myself as a resilient individual with dynamic team orientated talents and an ability to take a path less traveled when thinking “outside the box.” These skills go hand in hand with the capacity to present ideas in an organized and professional manner. My position as a Policy intern for the American Sustainable Business Councils taught me important skills for working in a field with an initiative in environmental and social change. Working directly with the director of policy engagement provided an experience that allowed me to understand how campaign teams propel non-profit organizations in a direction that is parallel to their mission.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration attached is an updated resume. I look forward to hearing from you and hope I can continue and build both my educational and career experience with the Pew Charitable Trusts. I welcome the opportunity to share more about my qualifications and experiences, and can be reached by email at [email protected], or by mobile at (617) 909 3166.
Sincerely,
Ethan Epstein
