Sample cover letter for Internship position at NYU

POSITION:

On-Campus

Respected Sir/Ma’m,

I recently found your job opening posted on NYU Careernet. The job description quite interests me

and I am quite confident that my academic skillset and my previous experience of Library Assistant, Lab assistant and training and placement coordinator gives me enough idea and capability to suite this position. I am a “roll up your sleeves” kind of person who makes work a priority and who believes whole heartedly in completing the assigned task.

As I had mentioned above that my past work experience makes me a perfect candidate for this position, I would like to elaborate it. I worked as a library assistant in my undergraduate college so I am very punctual and accurate about the small details and precision required for this job. My role was mainly to arrange the books in the shelves, help students issue and return the books and maintain the database. Also being a Training and placement Coordinator in my college days, I interacted with a lot of HR managers of various multinational companies. This experience helped me develop my communication skills. I consider myself to be professional, dependable, considerate and hard-working.

My resume will provide additional details regarding my background and qualifications. With excellent organizational and communication skills, an outstanding work ethic, and ability to work well in both team oriented and self- directed environments, I am positioned to exceed your expectations. I would like a few minutes of your time to explore the kind of role, the organization’s top priority needs and the performance you can expect from me in addressing those needs.

Thank you for your time and consideration and feel free to contact me on the number mentioned above if you have any queries.

Sincerely,

xyz
