Sample cover letter for Internship position at New York Life Insurance

POSITION:

Summer Intern

GOT THE JOB? Yes

To Whom It May Concern:

I am applying to be 2014 summer intern at New York Life Insurance. In the past year, I have worked on campus at the customer technology support department, using critical thinking to analyze any technological complication customers might have. As a responsible self-starter, I believe I would bring much enthusiasm, productiveness, and energy to New York Life Insurance.

Due to previous experience in an insurance company, I already have a deep appreciation for the work that goes into life insurance, annuities, and mutual funds. I can sincerely and enthusiastically represent your brand while also supporting the company with my previous experience; of data entry, expensereports, customer-service skills, organization, computer savvy, and research. Most of all, I yearn to be apart of a large company that will allow me a valuable learning experience while also providing meaningful work. Due to my broad experience as a team member and leader in high-pressure environments, I greatly understand the level of dedication and commitment that are needed to work in such a job. With New York Life, though, being an intern would be more than a job for me, it would be a passion.

I firmly believe that I will be a good fit at your company and hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jane Doe
