I am writing in response to the internship opportunity ‘’Finance Graduate Intern’’ in Beaverton, Oregon. I am a Dutch graduate students of the Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands with a specialization in finance and accounting. Hence, I have received recognition for excellence in finance as well as accounting in an international context. I am eager to take my financial skills to the next level and apply them in a professional setting through this opportunity.

Just do it! That is what I thought when I clicked on the apply button at your career website. Thinking about exploring Nike from the inside from a financial perspective fills me with excitement and energy and just this was the reason why I applied for Nike. Active not only in sports, but also in my work. I want to be inspired by Nike but also help them inspire the athletes in this world!

The focus at my University is practical experience. I have done an internship before in marketing and by doing dozens of projects and papers I have learned how to do a financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and business valuation. With these experiences, I have developed good skills in Microsoft Excel, communication skills, team work skills, leadership skills, analytical skills and to work independently. My study is fully in English and during my two months at an English private school in Cambridge and 5 months at the University of Seoul in South Korea, I have developed excellent English skills. Moreover I have intermediate Germany skills.

I have been standing out in several ways as a student. I am participating the Honours Program and have passed all my exams in one time with grades above average. This shows that I am a very motivated, structured and strive for excellence. During my previous jobs I have learned conflict resolution, fast thinking and organization skills under high stress circumstances. Moreover, I like a challenge, initiative, responsibility and working in a team.

An internship within Nike will provide me an opportunity to gain further experience and upgrade my skills and knowledge and maybe a future job within the company after graduation. I am eager to learn more by your professionals and the tasks assigned to me. Moreover I hope to finish my graduation thesis within your company with a research topic that will be of the interest of the company and hopefully can contribute to your performance or knowledge. I am available to start from the beginning of February until the beginning of July 2016.
