I do believe I can fit well for this internship. Apart from my closely related professional knowledge, my involvement in Mathematics Modelling contest fully demonstrates I possess excellent analysis and problems solving skills. During the contest, I was asked to solve a complex problem about evaluating traffic flow based on irrelevant data within three days. I firstly analyzed this question and then realized I had to simplify the given data, and after successfully simplifying data, I wrote programming based on multiple regression models and finally obtain the required result. In addition, my internship at a technology company in China represents that I can work well as a part of a team. I met an intensive work which asked our team of five members to complete a complex program to control machinery systems. In order to complete it efficiently, I proposed to determine the appropriate algorithm for our works, and I frequently exchange works with other members for checking bugs. If I met a problem, I would solve it with other members and shared the solution with others. Additionally, I always request myself to work out the best outcomes. After completing my internship tasks, I discovered that my C codes was using was too consuming and attempted to perfect it with better algorithm. After careful analyzing and several attempts, I decided on using assembly codes rather than C language although it required me to spend extra time studying the basis of assemble codes at first. Finally, I successfully rewrote assembly codes and reduced time cycles by around 50%. This was not in my job description, but I was eager to find possible methods to work out the best results.
