Accounting intern
Dear Hiring Manager for the 2016 Accounting Intern Position,
I am writing to you today because I am applying for the position of accounting intern. It is my objective to earn a position relating to the accounting field at a highly reputable company. Novogradac & Company LLP is a special company that I would like to be a part of because of the auditing and tax work your company does in the real estate business. As a potential candidate for this position, I have developed skills and qualifications that I believe will make me an asset to your team.
As you will see from my curriculum vitae, I have accumulated work experience in a variety of different roles ranging from supervisor at a YMCA camp to foreman at a property management company. I am able to adapt to any work environment that I am placed into. In addition to being adaptable, I am also responsible and able to multitask on any given work day. For example, being a foreman at a property management company, I had to balance between completing projects, distributing employee tasks, managing inventory, and creating employee schedules every day. If any hitches were to occur throughout the day, it was my responsibility to come up with a solution so it would not hinder the speed of the project. My ability as a foreman was recognized by the owner, and I was offered to become president of the company, but I declined because of my commitment at Baruch College for the master degree of accountancy and my desire to join that field.
I have accumulated accounting experience from courses in school, as well as inventory management from work experiences. I communicate well with clients and mangers alike and have a passion for this field of work.
