I am writing to apply for a research analyst position at OMSL, which I consider to be in line with my interests and qualifications. I am a graduate from Kenyatta University where I was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Economics and Finance (Second Class Honours, Upper Division) in December 2013. I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist and currently a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) program.

I am currently working as a corporate finance analyst at PKF Consulting Limited- East Africa. At PKF, I have been involved in a series of assignments whose experiences have been invaluable. These include:

• Valuation of a leading private school in a litigation support assignment.
• Preparation of sector reports on various industries ranging from cement, sugar to energy and;
• Development of bankable business plans for a mid-sized dairy processing company and a start-up company in the manufacturing industry, both seeking funds from strategic investors.

I participated in the 2012-2013 CFA Research Challenge where classroom knowledge was put into practice. This proved to be very essential in gaining professional experience as my market research and financial analysis skills were honed. In the process, I was exposed to financial modeling and stock valuation.

As part of my personality, I possess a strong desire to learn and grow in financial markets research. I firmly believe OMSL, a leading stock brokerage firm, will provide the platform to continue nurturing my skills and interest as I dispense my duties diligently.
