Sample cover letter for Internship position at P&G
Marketing
I would be delighted to have the opportunity to undertake the Brand Management Internship with Procter & Gamble (P&G), for a number of key reasons.
Firstly, whilst I am working towards a degree in Business and Management my true passion lies in marketing. I decided to take this route in order to give myself an understanding of broader business subjects. This, along with the aptitude to learn from some of the industry’s most knowledgeable and successful individuals, led me to pursue this internship. I am at my element when surrounded by like-minded, determined individuals which is why I made the decision to move from ***** to ***** University.
Having a flair for creativity and innovation, complimented with a base of business and finance knowledge, (such as: accounting, management in organisations, global businesses and marketing), I believe I would be a worthy candidate for this internship, and hopefully future prospects too. I strongly believe in the importance of working with new people and experiencing different cultures and ways of thinking, in order to improve and strengthen as an individual, but also as a community. This desire is another aspect as to why P&G is my first choice, being a corporation with globally desired products as well as operations.
As I often take leadership roles within university group projects, and enjoy seeing a challenge through from initial stages to implementation. I am looking forward to having ownership and responsibility over real-life projects from day one, and contributing ideas, whilst also gaining and refining skills through invaluable training. Furthermore, gaining an in-depth understanding of marketing from the company who invented the concept of brands and brand management would be truly incredible, whilst being continually challenged through the external fast paced consumer goods market.
Please find attached a copy of my curriculum vitae for further skills-based information and qualifications, for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
