I am writing to express my interest in the Staff Accountant position you have posted. My attached resume highlights my broad range of experience and qualifications that closely align with the position description.

My accumulated education and experiences focus on my ability to gather financial data from a range of sources and apply that information to developing plans for both the short and long term in a variety of business segments. My work has included interacting with all levels in an organization, providing timely updates on key trending financial data, anticipating changes that may be needed to accomplish goals and utilization of a variety of software tools that have included advanced use of Excel (VBA), Sage Accounting Software, and proprietary report-writing software.

In my current position as Office Manager at The Conch House Marina Resort I am responsible for preparing financial statements and accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting, as well as assisting with the daily overview of the company’s finances. Additionally, I was a key player in running the day to day operations of Quayle & Co: Design/Build company, in which I was involved heavily with management duties, daily accounting reconciliation, and financial responsibilities.

This work has taken advantage of my financial acumen, my ability to interact with the senior managers of the company, my ability to think strategically, my capacity to work with very detailed data while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
