Sample cover letter for Internship position at PSE

POSITION:

PSE Mmember

I am writing to express my reasonings for pledging Pi Sigma Epsilon. As a sophomore studying Applied Economics and Management I am extremely interested in business and would like the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of different business sectors, create friendships with like-minded people, and gain access to the incredible networking opportunities offered by PSE.

As a Sophomore, I am starting to feel pressure to start deciding which sector of business I would like to concentrate in Unfortunately, I have yet to receive adequate exposure to many potential sectors such as finance, sales, consulting, and marketing. Without a clear understanding of the different sectors it is difficult to decide which one I am most drawn to. By joining PSE I will develop my knowledge of the different areas of business areas which will enable me to better decide which area I would like to concentrate and work in.

During rush, I had the opportunities to meet many of the current brothers and found them very personable. I would like to become friends with brothers as I feel they have much to offer both professionally and non-professionally. While speaking with the brothers, I was astonished by the incredible internships many of the brothers had previously obtained and discovered that many of the attribute their ability to get the internship to PSE whether it was through the skills PSE enabled them to hone in on or through the alumni network.

In conclusion, I am pledging PSE in hopes of developing my professional skills while gaining access to an incredible professional network and life lone friends. My business acumen will enable me to make a difference at PSE and one-day serve as a mentor to future PSE brothers
