Sample cover letter for Full Time position at PWC

POSITION:

Associate

The Hiring Manager,

PWC,

United Kingdom

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have learned from your careers website that you are currently looking for a Senior Associate – Valuations - EUMI and I would like to express my interest in this position. I have been greatly inspired to apply for this role after speaking to xxxxx; one of your Senior Associates, when I attended a careers day earlier this month. Also, after reading PWC’s publication on “Africa oil & gas review 2016” which was recently released, I was deeply convinced about the conclusion that Africa represents a new frontier in the oil and gas sector with unique challenges and huge upsides. If given the opportunity, I would like to work with the team to deliver concise analyses and valuations in the oil & gas and mining sectors.

As an oil and gas expert with a mining background, I have extensive knowledge in the oil and gas industry and possess a detailed understanding of project valuations, M&A’s and industry regulations. I recently compiled a first-class management report on a company in the oil and gas sector which intends to pursue international expansion into an emerging market. I concluded the report by identifying Sub-Saharan Africa as the target region to pursue sustainable growth considering the macro-economic factors and recommended a few points to consider in implementing the strategy. This report which is clearly in line with PWC’s findings is available on request. In addition, I intend to take the CFA external qualification to add value to myself as I develop my skills in consulting.

I look forward to the opportunity of being interviewed in order to share more about my background and the experience I could bring to your company.

Yours sincerely,

xxxxx
