Sample cover letter for Internship position at Parthenon
Associate
As a final year BTech student at Indian Institute of Technology, I would like to be considered for your full-time Associate Position. After attending your on campus presentation in September and through discussions with the current employees, I became very excited about exciting career opportunities and dynamic culture at The Parthenon Group. Especially, I was struck with the small company culture with very smart people coming from diverse set of backgrounds, acting along a spectrum of projects always stood a chance for me to take in huge industrial exposure. I believe that my strong problem solving skills, analytical skills, leadership qualities, self-driven and my passion to gain exposure to various industries and travel around the world would be a strong fit for The Parthenon Group.
Though my major discipline was Civil Engineering, I had a passion for Technology so I desired to acquire knowledge in this area, so I pursued courses in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and currently in the process of getting a minor Degree in Computer Science. Besides pursuing courses I joined the Robotics club, IIT Delhi, worked in a team to make a robot and took part in several robotics competitions and also I participated in App Development Competitions built apps and recently was awarded the runner-up position for getting to an app and submitted a business strategy for the app. I built up my leadership qualities, as I shaped my year as a Core Team Member for Google Student Club, IIT Delhi the first of its kind which started last year which was part of a Google Student Ambassador Program. During this journey I got to learn a great deal, I managed a team of 10 members for coordinating events like DevFestx (Android App Development Competition), started initiatives like Campus Journalism on IIT Delhi Google+ page.
I had also Entrepreneurship mind-set, in past 3 years I along with my other two friends used to organize trips to Rushikesh, Manali for Students of IIT Delhi. While organizing these trips I learned a good deal, gained interpersonal skills, time management skills, communication skills by visiting to these stations, talking to people, making the best possible deals at affordable prices of Students, framing on the tour itinerary, on how to attract people, doing them and providing the best possible hospitality to the great unwashed. Though we faced some challenges like shifting in activities, unfortunate delays due to traffic and diverse other causes, we overpower them and at the closing of the day we received a very good feedback from the people and made good friends.
I look forward to the opportunity of being interviewed in order to share more about my experience and accomplishments that I could bring to your company. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
