POSITION:

Bachelor student

GOT THE JOB? Yes

To the attention of the Admission Committee

Dear Sirs,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the […] offered by your University.

I have already been admitted to the […], but nonetheless I would ask you to consider my late application, based on my solid motivation and unusual profile.

Attending the […] would represent the perfect fulfillment of my ambition to develop my business knowledge and leadership skills in a challenging international environment. Until now, although my education has not been focused on economics, I have been deeply attracted by the world of business: as a law student, I focused on the economic aspects of law and, upon graduating, I attended a mixed law-business post-graduate program at the […], which also offered management courses.

My eagerness to work side by side with businesses led me to accept the offer by […], one of the leading law firms in the world, where I have been focusing on M&A deals, finance transactions, and corporate restructuring cases, often involving international clients.

Although dealing with the legal issues of business transactions is a very intriguing and challenging job – which allows you to develop exceptional analytical skills and the ability to get the job done regardless the circumstances – I realized that it was not enough for me. I was much more interested in the economic aspects of transactions and the thought that I could only address a limited side of the frame made me feel caged.

Now, I want to widen my approach, to see business from its core and be able to get the bigger picture.

The unrivalled exposure to international environments granted by the […] would be the perfect launch pad towards the fulfillment of my ambitions: as we now live in a globalized world, I want also my education to be global. The possibility to spend abroad most of my […] term and to come into contact with cultures and languages different than my own would be an invaluable contribution to my personal and professional growth and would give me a huge advantage in facing the employment market.

Yours sincerely
