Sample cover letter for Internship position at PwC

POSITION:

Consultant

I am an undergraduate Economics student at the University of Glasgow. I would like to apply to the Strategy& Graduate Programme at PwC in London.

As an individual who enjoys tackling challenges and learning from the experiences they offer, I am interested in job opportunities that will expand my horizons and provide me with the opportunity to work across variety of industries and projects. Working as a Strategy Consultant fulfils my desires. I am attracted to Strategy& because as part of PwC, it provides a unique strategy consulting experience which grants access to PwC resources on an unrivalled global scale.

I believe I am well suited for this position. I developed competencies required for this role through various extra-curricular activities. Leading a team in the L’Oreal’s Brandstorm competition required me to focus the team, make decisions and help my team members accomplish challenging goals. My leadership skills have been enhanced further in my current role as Team Leader of the university Mandarin Debate Society, as I am responsible for training new members with the goal of winning national awards.

My internship at an international recruitment firm required me to have strong professional presentation and communication skills when liaising with both local and overseas candidates. I have worked both independently and with the support of colleagues. During my work experience on the Customer Support team, I synthesised customers’ perspectives and produced detail-oriented work.

I have worked as part of a team and collaborated with people that have different approaches to work, which makes me confident that I can work successfully as a Strategy Consultant with new teams of people in a fluid environment.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
