Management Consulting Intern
To the recruitment officers at PWC,
I am writing in response to an internship opportunity in your Kuala Lumpur office. I believe I would be an excellent addition to the organization and possibly an invaluable asset, if given the chance to prove myself.
I am currently undertaking my Master of Engineering (Civil) at the University of XXX in XXX. As of July 2015, I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Civil Engineering with GPA of 3.9. As an engineering student, I possess good quantitative and analytical skills that are crucial in recognizing and deriving market and global trends from a considerable amount of data in a short amount of time. Also with my background in Economics, I will be a holistic candidate for a management consulting internship position. I am also very skillful in programming languages like MATLAB, R and Python and also in all the Microsoft programs like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
As indicated by my academic transcripts, it is shown that not only I excel in my studies and work well under pressure, but also I am ambitious. I am one of the only few international students recruited to become an academic tutor during my time at UWA. Since my 2nd year at UWA, I have been tutoring numerous students in Mathematics and Engineering units under the employment of UWA, working an average 20 hours a week while doing 4 units of my own at the same time.
I can write and speak fluently in four languages, which are English, Chinese (Mandarin), Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese (Cantonese). This shows that I am quick at adapting to new environments and also my flexibility in managing myself in a culturally diverse society.
