I am highly interested in pursuing a summer intern position at your firm. Given my academic strength, work experience, personal drive and calibre, I have confidence that I possess the key qualities you look for in an Intern who can make valuable contribution.
Quam’s fundamental value of trust and mutual understanding towards employees aligns well with my personal vision, and the company’s emphasis on individual development has aroused my determination to join Quam. My pursuit of accounting and finance courses at HKU has not only equipped me with a solid mastery of analytical and quantitative skills, but also has enhanced my interest in investment thus building my own investment portfolio and my passion in joining an financial service company; especially Quam Capital, being an renowned corporate finance firm.
Last summer, I worked as a finance summer analyst in J.P. Morgan. Through planning and managing 8 different projects with various stakeholders in different functions, I gained a strong ability in problem solving and stakeholder management. I also took part in the management reporting and forecast process for Investor Services division where I developed a “big picture” mindset and skills in presenting complicated data in a clear and creative way.
Furthermore, I have previously completed internship in Deloitte and Hang Seng Bank. From the experience of directly interacting with various clients in the Mainland China, I learnt techniques in communicating and maintaining relationship with clients from different kinds of background. Through conducting research and financial analysis in a high-pressure and fast paced environment, not only I have acquired great analytical and time management skills, but also honed my technical knowledge in both accounting and finance to a great extent.
