As a former intern from Microsoft Canada performing data analysis with their Finance and Sales Operations team, I am excited to bring this experience to RAPP as a new Data Analyst. I am in the final term of my undergraduate career at the University of Waterloo with an ever-growing appreciation for innovation and creative solutions. As I reflect on my experiences, I realize the importance of streamlining process to achieve operational results in an organization. I want to further technical skills and business acumen for the opportunity to drive impactful results for your clients and business partners.

I believe the most impeccable skill as a data analyst is the combination of excellent problem solving, and the ability to synthesize large amounts of data to draw out key strategic solutions. As a previous Associate Business Analyst supporting Microsoft’s Enterprise division, I analyzed corporate accounts in financial, large retail, and technology sectors to deliver Key Performance Indicators and recommendations to Microsoft’s sales executives and respective account managers. I furthermore built a multitude of automated and customized databases to deliver strategic quantitative analysis, resulting in identified risks and opportunities in the organization’s pipeline, and ensuring the overall health of each business sector. This steep learning curve has allowed me to become extremely proficient in database applications and evidently improved my analytical skills.

Second, as the Microsoft Education business’s first financial analyst, I collected data to analyze year over year trends across all academic customers in Canada, and the segment’s countless product and program offerings. My timely analysis on-boarded the new national Sales Director of Education during a critical transition period and allowed me to deliver key presentations on revenue and growth trends to the entire segment organization, resulting in new white space revenue opportunities for its regional account managers. This challenge has further developed my confidence in making recommendations and effectively collaborating in cross-functional environments.

I strongly feel that my unique skills and experiences will make me an asset to RAPP and contributing to the organization’s corporate objectives.
