I come from a solid technical background with a strong interest in business and passion towards strategy. My area of focus and interest varies from quantitative analysis to project management. I have maintained a 3.0 GPA through a well-balance program of study, which is not only very analytical and technical by nature but also helps to build leadership and team building skills. In addition to my education, I have a unique and varied set of internship experiences that have given me the financial skills to qualify for this position. While working at RBC Capital Markets as a Trade Credit Administrator, I had the opportunity to see investing firsthand. My knowledge of investing and finance expanded during my internships as I took initiative, assumed responsibility, and stayed organized to complete projects that required innovation and critical thinking.
This summer my quantitative and analytical skills were sharpened while working at RBC Capital Markets, as my key roles involved monitoring CCMS (Private Banking Clients)/ Synergy (Commercial Banking Clients) and delegating authority communications as means to maintaining various limits within RBC Capital Markets trading systems.
I worked as a risk model development associate at CIBC. As an associate, my key role was to help conduct scenarios with senior management to develop, a new capital model for operational risk management, in response to evolving OFSI regulations. The operational risk scenario program was initiated in order to bring a forward- looking view to management and measurement of operational risk in the bank. As the scenario program provided an opportunity to continue enhancing awareness and knowledge about operational risk and its management within CIBC. The scenario-based approach, allowed me to gain insight on the major business lines encompassed by financial institution.
