As my résumé indicates, I received a Masters in Institutions and Financial Markets, with a specialization in Quantitative Finance and I am currently a CFA candidate. The specific qualifications I received from my studies have providedme with a detailed knowledge of financial institutions, especially through my academic experience in Algorithm Trading, Financial Derivatives,and Analysis of Time Series. In addition, I participated in university competitions on trading and portfolio strategies. Moreover, in my final dissertation titled: “Italian Volatility Index: A dynamic hedging strategy for the Italian stock market” I successfully established a portfolio strategywith a trading algorithm based on the development of an Implied Volatility Index for the Italian market. I would also like to point out that thisexperience allowed me to accumulate and improve skills in the utilization of a variety of software tools such as Excel, Matlab, Vba, and

Bloomberg.

I am currently working as an Analyst with Deloitte in Enterprise Risk Services, where I have participated on projects related to Financial

Audit, Risk Management, Internal Audit and Corporate Governance, collaborating also with other service lines like Financial Advisory

Services, and Consulting. While at Deloitte, I have gained relevant experience working with clients, including collecting data to determine

their needs and implementing the best possible solution with the various stakeholders involved. My ability to work in an efficient and timely

manner, and my capacity of working under pressure have proven me able to undertake many tasks independently, so that my superiors gave

me higher responsibilities as my work on international projects demonstrates. One of the tasks I performed at Deloitte was the enhancement

of methods and the development of new tools for risk identification and measurement. Through this experience, I learned to work with

detailed data, improving my analysis skills and my ability to interact with different stakeholders. My dedication and the initiatives taken

during my work were rewarded with a permanent contract after only 4 months of my entry of duty, while my previous contract was supposed

to last 18 months.

Even my actual position with Deloitte, my genuine interest in Trading and Financial Markets has led me to embark on this new experience,

with a prestigious company as Royal Bank of Canada, one of the most important financial institutions, especially in the Wealth management

business segment where RBC is world leader. In addition, as I saw in your presentation, RBC gives great attention to innovative and

trustworthy way of doing business, this means that you can offer a wide range of employment and situations attracting individuals with

The position of Junior Trader is exactly what I am looking for. I have chosen it, not only because of my genuine interest in the subject, but for

other reasons too. The features I appreciate most are the close contact with markets, therefore a dynamic environment where have the opportunity

to support senior traders and the Wealth Management Foreign exchange desk, participate in the overall development of the treasury business, and

assist with operating the treasury, securities finance and repo books, and employing funds. This would be the perfect situation to work and learn.

Because what I am actually looking for is the possibility to work in a rapidly changing milieu while having to absorb information as quickly as

possible finding the best solutions to achieve a team goal. I believe I am well suited to this position, because I am competitive, determined, and

always trying to find the best solution, very precise by giving great attention to details in my work. I also like challenges and having to face

changes, I am a strong quantitative thinker and hard worker, which are fundamental requirements for this career path. These are the reasons why I

suppose I would be a valuable asset to your firm.
