I am writing to apply for the summer internship you offer in Capital Markets. As you will see from my CV I am a penultimate year Economics student at the University of XXX. Please find attached my CV as requested.

During my studies I have become particularly interested in Analysis and problem solving, making working in Capital Markets my perfect career. The chance to develop these skills beyond degree level appeals enormously to me and I believe the experience, knowledge and training RBS can offer coupled with my determination for success will set me in good steed.

My previous work experience and the nature of my degree course have prepared me for this opportunity. My job as a part time Ski Instructor has developed a variety of my skills including teamwork and interpersonal skills. Whereas, my degree course has developed more specific skills whether it be breaking down large data sets or independent research.
