• Situation

We were in a meeting to a group of 30 interested industry players on our new product and one partner, got stuck on a train from London.

• Task

It was my responsibility to find an alternative so it didn't reflect badly or anxious.

• Activity

I spoke to the event organisers to find out if they could change the speaker order and they agreed with me.

• Result

We gained some good contacts, at least two of which we converted into paying clients.

Describe a situation when you had to deliver excellent customer service following a complaint

• Situation

A customer rang up complaining that they'd waited more than two weeks for a reply from our sales team.

• Task

I needed to address the client's immediate query and find out what went wrong in the normal process.

• Activity

I investigated why the query hadn't been answered. I discovered that it was a combination of a wrong mobile number and a generic email address that wasn't being checked.

• Result

The client Posted a positive customer service tweet.

4.3 Difficult interview questions

a) Why are you leaving your present job?

I've been in my current job for 10 years and I want to continue my progress because all I could learn in my old job I've learned yet and I need new professional challenges.

b) How long do you think would you stay in the position?

I hope I can stay several years here because is a very good company.

c) What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is that I am very perfectionist in my work and sometimes I suffer stress because of it.

d) Describe a time when you failed

I was working on a project and I realized that I have made some mistakes in the plans. I tryed to solve the problem doing extra work for several weeks and at the end everything was correct.

e) Imagine one of your bosses loses her temper and shouts at you in front of others, how do you deal with this?

I try to calm him telling that we can discuss the problem later when we were more relax.

f) What would you say to a member of your team who was always late handing in his work?

I would try to talk with him and ask what happen because maybe he has overwork and if not I would try to explain the problem that his dalay generate in our projects.
