Radio Internship Coordinator:

If truly loving everything media related is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I believe the rest of the team at SiriusXM feels the same way- and that is just one of the reasons why I think I would be a great addition to the summer intern team. I am currently a junior Communications major at the University of Central Florida and will receive my degree next spring. My original affinity for the world of radio and media came from being the go to person for everyone in my life about anything and everything social media and pop culture related, I finally decided it was time to incorporate it into my career goals and haven’t regretted it since.

My concentration in communications and media relations has prepared me well for the field through life experience as well as college courses focusing on a wide variety of mass media methods and technologies. I’m also proficient in the latest versions of Windows and Mac OS X and the Microsoft Office suite as well as social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Tumblr. I also have been working part time throughout my time in college which has strengthened my work ethic by putting me in challenging situations. This has allowed me to developed skills such as credibility, attention to detail, strong verbal and communication skills. I’ve developed problem solving skills along with the ability to be successful in independent and group projects as well as developing strong leadership skills.

I was drawn to SiriusXM because of the passionate way the company has always taken pride in its work and the way that teamwork and creativity is emphasized and valued. I thrive when I am challenged to think creatively, whether it is having to come up with an idea on the spot or creating a new way of presenting information to people. In the fast paced world of pop culture and media speed and creativity is essential.

I believe this is a position where my passion for this industry will grow because of all of the amazing opportunities that SiriusXM provides for its employees.
