But if we were, here are just a few reasons why I’m the girl who can be the newest member of your Marketing Analysis team. As a solutions-focused student with a comprehensive background in math, economics, communications, I am excited to show my knowledge of big data analytics, and project planning and management.

The problem solving and quantitative skills I have acquired as a math major at Armstrong State University match with the qualities that Red Hat is looking for in a future employee. Not only have I taken relevant courses, such as calculus and statistics, but have also developed my communication skills and knowledge of business. The courses I have taken as an economics minor, such as intermediate economics, finance and accounting, have provided me with a broad understanding of markets and the talent to analyze data. My time as an Economics Department Research Assistant has further cultivated my analytical skills and ability to communicate my results and recommendations to management.

My interest in Data Analysis developed when I completed my econometrics analysis: ‘’What Factors Most Affect Purchasing an Extended Warranty for a Vehicle?” and the interest grew exponentially while I took Statistics. I know that I will enjoy being challenged marketing situations because I have acquired many of the skills needed to hold the position such as teaching myself SAS and having the ability to research and understand raw statistical data. Furthermore, the thought of working alongside and have regular access to successful Red Hat Marketing Managers and Analysts to create reports and analysis to support models using computer programming and mathematics skills that I have learned so far in college is absolutely thrilling.
