As a first year student of Master in Finance at Bocconi University, I am interested in applying for an internship position in X. My previous experience and outstanding grades make me a perfect candidate for this position.
As you will see from the enclosed resume, I have balanced the academic demands and extracurricular activities and achieved my goals in both these areas. Being a member of Junior Academy of Sciences, I participated in various debates, conferences, which helped me to develop my communication and presentation skills. Engagement 180 Degrees Consulting Riga has strengthened my teamwork and time management skills. In addition, I was Under Secretary General for Facilitating Activities. Our team organized international conference for students. For example, LVMUN 2015 gathered 150 participants and was held for three days. This experience taught me the responsibility of being the leader.
From an academic perspective, my interest in analysis has begun already from high school. There, I conducted the research in Macroeconomics on the topic of new regulations of local taxation. Studies at SSE Riga have equipped me with the necessary knowledge and pushed hard to develop further critical and creative thinking. I got indeed interested in Finance courses, which resulted in the best score in the papers that our team received in the Financial Economics and in Accounting and Finance courses. My interest in Finance is not limited to a university curriculum. Recently, I won the 2nd place in Finance Challenge international competition. In addition, I had a chance to master my skills in STATA and R during the elective course.
Taking everything above into consideration, I am confident that my spectrum of interests and set of skills make me a perfect candidate for a position. I am open for new practical knowledge and not afraid of challenges on the way to the personal and professional growth.
