I am using this opportunity to express my great interest in participating in your the study visit “When Peace follows War”.

During my studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences I have developed a great interest in Peace and Conflict Studies as the causes of war and also the concept itself had always fascinated me. It is only natural that my interests inclined towardsthe collapse of the former Yugoslavia as well as the wars that have risen from it. Being that I was only an infant during the war, I was able to learn about it from different variety of sources.

One of it was by participating in “Youth event 2015 Tuzla - There is always a choice , Civil courage in times of war and peace” where I had an opportunity, for the first time in my life to talk to young people with different backgrounds and different views on the topic of Bosnian war. This experience spurred on even more passion in pursuing a career in sector of Conflict Resolution.

I believe that your study visit is an exceptional opportunity for me to assert and expand my knowledge about this unfortunate conflict, providing me a great basis for my Master’s thesis.

In addition, the participation in your study visit will give me a rare opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds culturally who share my interest for the field. Through these prospective connections I hope to build my network and learn new and interesting viewpoints, strengthening my, development, as well as offering the same to my peers.

Sharing what I have learned over the years as well as learning from other's participants’ experiences I find to be an exquisite opportunity to test the knowledge I have obtained during my studies, but also expand my knowledge in a way that not any formal institution of education could offer me.

I am optimistic that my experiences, raw enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity will match your needs and expectations expected from participants of your summer course.
