I've graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a 2.1 Hons. Degree in BBA specializing in Marketing. Confused between various contrasting career options, I followed the advice of my counselor to take a leap of faith and took up positions at different organizations in search of a field that matched my interests. However, with the Marketing and Communications Trainee opportunity at Sephora, I know that I have found the perfect path to my career goal.

Everything one loves about beauty can be found at Sephora. I still remember how excited I was with my first purchase from Sephora, since then there's been no turning back with my loyalty. A company that prides itself in customer satisfaction, I can only imagine the amount Sephora takes care of its employees by focusing on aspects such as career growth and development.

My work experience of three years has always been linked to customer and client service, market research and social media. During my internship at Palestyle, one of my major responsibilities was to improve awareness of the brand using different platforms of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and to research how Palestyle could branch into different categories of lifestyle fashion.

My experience with Diva Modeling and Events gave me a deeper exposure to Dubai’s Media and Events Industry. I was privileged with the opportunity to challenge myself by taking quick decisions, participating in seminars and exhibitions, and achieving targets with short deadlines. My job responsibilities allowed me to apply theory to practice in international marketing while working with international modeling agencies.

I currently work at a start up Retail Company called House of Accessories where I get an opportunity to communicate with my senior manager and think creatively using both data and intuition to make decisions. I’ve assisted in building the company’s portfolio, developing marketing strategies to gain more customer base and reducing lead-time. To increase brand awareness, I initiated the company’s presence in social media via Instagram.

A day not learned anything is a day wasted and it is this attitude of mine that has led me to gain appreciation from my colleagues. I am constantly looking at opportunities where I can grow and utilize my skills and creativity for the benefit of the company. I am well versed with the major social media platforms while currently self-learning Hootsuite and Google Adwords.
