Sample cover letter for Internship position at Shell

POSITION:

Management Trainee

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m a business management graduate from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, currently working on my final-semester management project with Unilever, I am majoring in Supply chain management, and Marketing, and my areas of interest include; logistics, field operations, and, branding and advertising.

I am a highly motivated, initiative-taking individual with a roll-up -sleeves attitude. I look forward to every project with a task oriented but solutions-driven approach. Communications and presentations are my stronger skill areas, and I'm a community builder when it comes to teamwork.

I am absolutely thrilled to apply at Shell, for its unique environment that encourages innovative thinking, liberty, recognition, and career development. I believe that the Management Trainee program at Shell is the perfect opportunity for a liberated young professional to present ideas and learn valuable work skills in an open-minded and welcoming environment, and begin a career of growth and learning with a great team.

Through my semester abroad at Winona State University, I learnt to work effectively as part of a diverse team. I believe that my management, customer services, and operations skills, which I’ve learned in my last four years of college and mixed work experience, have prepared me to perform in most of the demanding situations. I’ve been working with my family clothing startup for the past four years. I serve as the communications liaison to the clients. The experience has taught me contemporary ways of conflict-management and complaint resolutions, while negotiating with a win-win perspective.

I aspire to begin a management career in a fast-paced, liberated workplace where I aim to take on day-to-day challenges with a positive outlook.

Looking forward to the opportunity of meeting you in person.
