I am currently a senior pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration. I strongly believe that my 8 years of experience in food and beverage along with my academic degree makes me an ideal candidate for this position.

As my resume indicates, I have worked in many different positions in the hospitality industry to become better rounded and gain professional skills in the area of management. I am a hard working student that has received training in the hospitality industry since I was 15. I have regularly worked 40+ hours a week while taking a full course load and also operating my own disc jockey business venture. Specifically, last summer I assisted the Director ofFood and Beverage of a Minor league baseball stadium that held over 9,000 patrons. During that time, I was directly involved in leading operations of establishing schedules, receiving product, and inventory management. I also had the responsibility of placing orders with distributors and training new employees. My goal is to find a position within the hospitality industry with opportunities for career progression. I enjoy working in this industry and look forward to contributing to Marriott in any way I can.

In researching your organization, I was impressed by the 6% RevPAR growth rate that has experienced last year. Additionally, I am very interested in the many innovative ideas that your organization has implemented and admire the college programs that provide students with reputable experience. I recently had the privilege of speaking with a local Manager discussing the company’s beliefs and standards. After learning about these, I found myself agreeing and holding similar beliefs of which the company stands on. Specifically, the value of putting people first is something I have always taken very seriously.
