I am applying for “Specialist Vehicle Logistics Operations Development” position in your company.

As my CV indicates, I am a graduate of an English-medium-university, Middle East Technical University, which is ranked in the “World University Rankings 2014-2015”, in the 85th, among the world’s best 400 universities. As a graduate of an English-medium university, I excel at English. Besides, I use English extensively in my working environment at Siemens AG during daily communications with our suppliers from European and other countries. I am familiar with international working environment. As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist, I am responsible from the delivery of healthcare systems produced in global plants of Siemens, located in Germany, Ireland, UK, China and US, to our end customers in Turkey, ensuring the quality of systems and meeting deadlines.

I always try to develop new ways to improve system performance. For instance, I made a project to optimize ordering and logistics process for the spare parts procured from Brussels. Before the project, the delivery time for the goods to reach to the end customer was 16 days starting from the order creation. By taking a systematic approach, the total delivery time was diminished from 16 days to 2 days. This improvement increased both customer satisfaction and our warehouse availability. Managing and participating in such projects increase my motivation.

I performed my first internship at Honda Plant in Turkey. During my internship, I had a chance to observe the assembly process of a vehicle. Moreover, I learnt about Japan philosophy at the workplace. I observed the applications on lean and Kaizen principles. Toyota way has affected my way of thinking. I would like to be a part of Toyota way.

Besides my experiences and my background, my personal characteristics also make me a strong candidate for this position. I am deterministic, hardworking, creative, highly motivated and a good team player.
